Ahrefs Web Analytics does not set cookies and does not create user profiles. It records the pages you visit, the source of your visit, information about your browser, operating system and device, your language setting and your approximate location (country and city). To count visitors per day, Ahrefs combines your IP address and browser identifier into an encrypted value (hash) using a key that is regenerated every 24 hours and then deleted. To protect our forms against spam and abuse by automated programs (bots), we use Cloudflare Turnstile. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
On pages with a form, Turnstile checks whether the input comes from a human. For this purpose, Cloudflare processes technical characteristics of your visit, in particular your IP address, information about your browser and operating system (user agent) and the website you are visiting. The check usually runs invisibly in the background. Only in individual cases will you be asked to tick a checkbox. The form cannot be submitted without a successful check.
